saturday shenanigans

we got a surprise visit from rob's parents friday night.  it was nice to see them.  they just stayed overnight and went home yesterday afternoon.  we just hung out and rob helped them learn some things about their laptop.  they are headed to germany for several months to visit friends and family.  and they agreed to bring me a case of labello lip balm.  it is the best stuff.  it will fuel my lip balm addiction for a long time!



while they were talking laptop, i spent some time in the scrap room organizing.  got some new organizational goodies and wanted to put them to use.  also went through some layouts i had done in classes i had taken at Memories in Bloom and didn't have any photos on.  kept the ones i love to put photos on.  also purged some more supplies i have not used.  so.....that means it is RAK time!  one person will win a selection of paper from the now defunct Scenic Route and some other goodies and one person will win a 'tis the season book and the Oct issue of Scrapbooks Etc.  just leave me a comment and i will choose the winners Tuesday evening.

 

 i took some pics as i organized and purged.  i will leave you with those.  just a few shots of my scrap room and desk.  lots going on in there right now!

it's that time of the week

TGIF!  and it has been a long stressful week.  lots of things going on in the malloy household.  will have to keep it hush hush for now.  hopefully i will be able to spill the beans soon!

anywho, here's my friday five.

1. excited to have hit the 45 lb (lost) mark
2. excited about all the fun things coming for our family
3. extra proud of my hubby this week.  i am always proud of him but it's bumped up a notch this week.
4. looking forward to catching up on my Ali class.  i have fallen behind and don't want to be.
5. planning to get some organizing done this weekend.  that's always fun.

a no picture trip

can you believe.  i took no pictures on our trip to atlanta this weekend!  i am ashamed of myself.  had the camera all packed (the digi slr at that). had the charger and both lenses.  and no photos were taken.  shameful, i tell you.  there may not have been any picture taking  but there was plenty of family time, shopping and eating.  had a great time with my sister, Susan.  especially while she was helping my mom get her Facebook page going.  she found some great photos (embarrassing ones....even better) and we had a long laugh over them.  you know the kind....the tears in your eyes, can't breathe kind of laugh! 

went to archiver's and got a couple of stamps i had been wanting.  we seriously need an archiver's in nashville!  the lady there said they are just trying to keep the stores open that they already have.  no plans of adding any new stores.  boo :(

i am hoping to have some exciting news soon.  we'll see......

get ready.....

for the weekend.  tgif.  that means it is time for the newest installment of friday five.  since i am headed to atlanta for the weekend i thought i would post my five fave things about the ATL.

1. my family lives there.
2. they have archivers.
3. there is always so much to do.  museums, shopping (like ikea and H&M), food (like Fellini's pizza), parks and so much more.
4. the skyline.  there are these 2 buildings that we call ours.  they are beacons to us.  we always know we are home when we see them.
5. 99X.  the best radio station ever!
